Bombs went off at three resorts in the Sinai Desert. [Haaretz coverage; Jerusalem Post coverage].According to the latest figures, 19 people were killed, of which 17 at the resort town of Taba, across the border from Eilat and developed by Israel before its handover to Egypt in the aftermath of Camp David I. Five Israelis are reported among the dead. The Sinai resorts are popular with Israelis, and the target can safely be assumed to be either Israelis (radical Islamists usually do not care about "collateral damage") or Israeli-Egyptian ties.
